Catalina Island Support

By participating in either the Catalina Island Conservancy Marathon or the Catalina Island Conservancy Half Marathon, you will also be supporting the work of the Catalina Island Conservancy, a non-profit conservation organization working to keep Catalina Wildlands wild

Some exciting successes of the Conservancy in recent years include the leading-edge introduction of bison contraception to manage the iconic Catalina herd, the recovery of the Catalina Island Fox from near extinction, opening of the 37.2 mile Trans-Catalina Trail, and increasing the amount of youth served by education programs.

A portion of your registration fee for this event entitles you to the benefits of Conservancy membership at the E-Pal MEMBERSHIP level, which includes a complimentary subscription to the Conservancy's online e-newsletter and the annual mailing of the Conservancy Times.

Plus, all expenses associated with your  participation in this charitable race may be fully tax deductible. Click here to learn how.

The Catalina Island Conservancy makes it possible for people to experience the renewing power of nature by protecting and restoring one of the world's ecological treasures. The Conservancy's Nature Preserve is one of the largest wild areas in Southern California, and includes the region's longest stretch of undeveloped coastline. When you support the Conservancy, we're proud to report that 100 percent of your gift goes to conservation, education and recreation programs aimed at keeping Catalina wild for today and for future generations to enjoy.

Adopt a Species

Through our new Adopt a Species program, you can play a leading role in wildlife protection and management on Catalina Island. Choose a "symbolic adoption" from among four of Catalina’s iconic and endemic species:

Starting at just $100, you can partner with Conservancy wildlife biologists to  protect these and other Island species and help them continue to thrive!
